Yesterday I spent all day on planes. I sleep most of the time, but when I get angsty because of turbulence or not getting a window seat, I take out a SkyMall and write captions. Then, when I land safely, I take pictures of them and text them to my dad.
It’s a game my dad and I have play on planes since I was a teen. We stole it from Conan’s old late show sketch “Actual Items.” Whenever we take a family trip together, we write in our respective SkyMalls for 20 minutes, switch copies, and laugh. Here are some ones I did yesterday. Dad LOVED them. I hope you like them, but my dad’s approval is really all I’m going for here (and in life?).
